| Responsibilities |
The
society is responsible for the decoration of the altar area, and
sometimes the entire church, for normal and special events. In decorating
the altar area, it takes into account Church guidance to determine what is
appropriate or inappropriate, through Canon Law, Vatican or diocesan
guidance. In addition,
the society will take account of local norms and expectations to achieve
an effect which enhances but does not replace the altar and the ceremony
as the focus of the congregation.
