| Purpose |
The Betania Group consists of
parishioners who have made or wish to make a pilgrimage to Betania in
Venezuela to visit the Shrine of Our Lady.
The Group visits Betania typically once a
year and is normally accompanied by a special spiritual guest. In the past,
Maria Esperanza, the visionary who died in 2004, had been very kind in receiving the group
into her home. This special relationship began when she accepted an
invitation to visit the Parish and was made very welcome by all. The
relationship continues with her family who maintain regular contact with
their Cayman friends.
